VIP

Today was a sUpEr DuPer day!!! Our little girl was the VIP (Very Important Person) in her classroom. She actually has this title for the week. I just love that her teacher does this!
I think it's such a cool thing for kids to experience, and I know they remember it because as we were busy preparing for this big week, Jordan kept talking about how he remembered everything from when he was the Student of the Week, when he was in first grade.
Then I was telling Cody (who is deployed right now) in an email about all we were doing, and he started talking about his experience of being the Super Star for the week in elementary school!
I can remember something similar, too. I was in the third grade, and I don't remember what we called it, but it sure felt good to be so appreciated :)
So, I will post pictures later of the really cool board we made to showcase our little one's life. She is so proud of that board and all of the things that are important in her life!
She wore her party dress to school, and she had me put curlers in her hair last night, as she wanted, "Big, curly hair like yours, Mom."
Of course, she got a zillion compliments, and she told me today after school that she felt so pretty today because everyone told her that they liked her dress and hair! Too cute!
I made her some special VIP shirts to wear later this week, and she is also going to wear her new cowgirl shirt that she got for Valentines Day :) She's so cute because she has her entire wardrobe planned out for this week! LOL!
She gets to take special snacks one day, and her daddy is going to surprise her at lunch tomorrow!!
Then on Friday her class is going to write special things about her and she will get this book to bring home.
This has been just as much fun for us :) Tonight we are busy writing her a special letter that her teacher will read to the class tomorrow!
What a great year first grade has been for us!!! We love her teacher to pieces, as she is an incredible woman who loves all of her kids so much. We never knew this teacher before this year, and how lucky and blessed we are to have her in our lives!
