Do people EVER figure it out??!!

     My son is a HUGE baseball fan, both in playing and watching! He has always been that way since he was a little boy :)
     He recently shared with me the story (check it out) of the young Angels pitcher. What heartbreak!
     You see, Nick Adenhart had faced a comeback before by going through an elbow surgery (not something good for a pitcher!) and then returning to still pitch!
     He pitched six scoreless innings on Thursday for the Angels, and he just felt like something big like that was going to happen, as he had even had his dad fly out from Baltimore to come and see him!
     Tragically later that night his car was hit by a drunk driver! He and two others died, and one other person in his car is going to survive, but he is in critical condition.
     Here's the part that REALLY ticks me off. Ya ready? This jerk who smashed into this young man's car, he already had TWO DUIs and was driving with a license suspended!!
     Seriously, how come people don't learn? Shouldn't you figure it out after the first DUI? Why would you have a second one? Or, if you have a suspended license, why would you even drive? Why does it take someone dying to stop someone from breaking the law?? At least I hope it stops this guy; he is going to be charged with either vehicular manslaughter or possibly even MURDER!
     For now, my heart goes out to the families of the young people who were lost, and even for the man who made some very poor choices that will ultimately destroy his life, too. So, sad! What a lesson to learn.
